Surgery, surgery and more surgery

My mom is quite the trooper and had 2 brain aneurysms fixed.  She looks pretty good for 2 brain surgeries.

My sweet hubbie and teenagers took care of the kids so I could spend time at the hospital with her.  How cute are they?  John took everyone to the pool except for Becca who didn't feel like going and the babies.  So Rebecca made a we heart you sign.  This isn't the best photo, since we were on the 14th floor.  Well, actually the 12th.  There was no 3 or 13.  But none the less, thanks for taking the photo Brian.

Can you see them down by our big white bus?

It was also nice to spend some time at my parents house.  It was super quiet and clean.  Crazy stuff.  I haven't watched that much t.v. in a super long time.  It was really nice.
This was us ditching church.  I could have gotten used to the unchaoticness.

Yes, the title of this post has more than one surgery listed.  A few weeks after her surgery, John had knee surgery for the 3rd time in 3 years.  Poor guy.  He is doing great though.

He looks pretty good, huh? I won't post anymore close ups because I would hate to make you queasy.  But he is doing really well.  I feel bad because our house is not a quiet, relaxing, healing place.  Oh well.

Our little daddy's boy was not happy until he could snuggle with daddy.

And the 3rd surgery?  my poor little nephew had surgery on his lungs today.  By little I mean Zachy who is like 6 foot 3 inches tall and is a senior in high school.  Good luck and speedy recovery, Zach!!!

Dancing Queens

Here are some videos of my cute little dancers.  Cassie and Allie did a dance clinic at the high school. Becca and Jessie and Allie also performed that night with the jr high dance company. They all did a fantabulous job.  They were great and amazing.  Here are their dances.

Cassie is the cute one with the white flower on her side pony tail.  Not too shabby for just 2 afternoons.   Yeah for Cassie!!!

Allie is in the back with the long hair.

Becca is in the black teeshirt group.  She is the tallest in the back.

Allie and Jessie are in the gray shirts.

I love my dancers.

I heart Cassi's poems.

I love reading Cassi's poems.  This one is super cute.  What do you think?  She totally describes our family to a T.

Some day she will be a published author and you can remember back to when you would read her on this blog.  hee hee

What? You're how old?

My baby went to her first LDS Regional Dance.  She was a little nervous, but she was gorgeous and she ended up having a great time.  She met some new people and had some fun dancing and running around with old friends.

I just want to know how this . . .

Turns into this . . .

I just have the hardest time with her growing up and meeting boys and giving out her phone number. Thank heavens she can't date until she is 16.  I don't think I could handle that.  I am also really excited for her and all the fun and adventures in store for her.  But now there is one babies first dance down, 8 more to go.  :)

Yeah for fuzzy slippers

So a few months ago, I blogged about what I am thankful for.
Fuzzy socks are pretty high up on my thankful list.  These were awesome.

Then my sweet hubbie bought me these babies.

How awesome are they?  He was kind enough to model them for you.
Becca didn't think his pose was right.  She said more like this . . .
Sorry for the blurryness.  I guess my laughing rubbed off on the camera.
Then Becca had to show off.  Goooooooooooooooooooooooo Becca!!!!!  Dang, I wish I could do that.
